A 7-day (24-30 September, 2007) industrial tour to Mumbai and Pune was organized for MBA Part-II. The following prestigious organizations/institutions were visited during the tour :-

• IIT B, School of Management, Mumbai – the discussions in the special session arranged by SOM widened the knowledge of the students to some extent and help them in clearing some of their perceptions.
• Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Powai Works, Mumbai – the visit provided opportunity of understanding special features of a big industry of the stature of L&T.
• Bombay Stock Exchange, Mumbai – the interaction with senior officials of BSE added to the knowledge of the students in respect of working of stock exchange and central depository system.
• Gems and Jewellery Complex, Mumbai – the presentation at the Indian institute of Gems and Jewellery was quite educating and made the students understand the peculiar nature of gems and jewellery industry.
• Mumbai Port Trust (Indra Docks), Mumbai – the visit, allowed by MPT as a special dispensation, was a unique experience of seeing the operations at the docks.
• Film & Television Institute of India, Pune – the visit to various departments of the institute and discussions at sight on features of the film and television industry, shooting, production, editing etc. widened the knowledge of the students.
• Bajaj Electricals Ltd., Pune – the visit to Ranjangaon plant/works and discussions with the General Manager and other senior officials of the company gave insight into the working of an industrial engaged in manufacturing and assembling of variety of electrical equipment/appliances.

Exide India Ltd, Pune – the visit to the works of EIL was quite educative and the students developed a broad view of operations involved in managing an industry.
