About Rajasthan
Rajasthan is the largest state of the Republic of India by Area. It
encompasses most of the area of the large, inhospitable Great Indian
desert (Thar Desert), which has an edge paralleling the Sutlej-Indus
river valley along its border with Pakistan. The state borders Pakistan
to the west, Gujarat to the southwest, Madhya Pradesh to the
southeast, Uttar Pradesh & Haryana to the northeast & Punjab to the
north. Rajasthan covers an area of 3,42,239 sq km. The Proportion of
the state’s total area to the total area of the country is 10.41%.
About Jaipur
Jaipur, well known as pink city of India is a heritage city. It is the capital
of state of Rajasthan. The Jaipur city was designed and founded in
1727 AD by Late Sawai Jai Singh II. The entire city is encircled by a
fortified wall and guarded by seven
gates. There are several places of
historical architectural and scenic
interest in and around the walled city
of Jaipur. The main amongst them
are Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, Galta
Ji, Birla Temple, Jantar Mantar,
Nahargarh Fort, Albert Hall, Chokhi
Dhani, Ram Niwas Park etc.
