Call for Models :

The prime objective of this Model contest is to bring out technological innovations in light, which are possible to be used in real life scenarios and to cherish such ideas which will be able to solve the problems of a simple, common man. The contest aims to bring ideas and innovations from the students of engineering fraternity, to give them opportunity to present their creations to intellectual minds and a chance to discuss about these creations with their peers and experts. This contest invites ideas for changes which can have a strong and lasting impact on the problems of the people or society.

Submission of Model Proposal

The students of Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degree in Engineering and Management who wish to demonstrate their innovative contributions in TECHNOVATION-2020 should submit the proposal in word/pdf format on A-4 size pages that include the information as under;

  • 1.Title of Model
  • 2.Demonstrators/ Contributors Name with Affiliation
  • 3.Objective(s)
  • 4.Methodology- Should Include- Design & Implementation-Input , System Variables- Performance Parameters- Technique etc.
  • 5.Hardware/ Software Setup- Photograph & size of setup
  • 6.Results in Tables and/or Graphs
  • 7.Conclusion
  • References,
Not exceeding total 8 pages.

Selection Process :

All the submitted model proposals shall be reviewed on the basis of;

  • 1.Originality
  • 2.Contributions of Demonstrators
  • 3.Design & Implementation-
  • 4.Innovation & / or Research with reference to current status
  • 5.Significance of Outcome & relevance to prior works
All the proposals will be given score out of 100 and a set of models will be accepted for demonstration. Preference will be given to Hardware-Software based models or as applicable in specific track.
Demonstrations shall be examined by a panel of examiners on the basis of;
  • Problem Justification
  • Depth of understanding
  • Implementation of proposed Concept
  • Contributions and Significance of Results
  • Relevance to current research requirements
The assessment will be done out of 100 score points.

Model Demonstration:

All the demonstrators will be required to prepare 2-4 A3 charts for display at the demonstration Setup in front of panel of examiners / visitors. The chart shall include following information;

  • Title
  • Author & Affiliation- ID
  • Objective (s)
  • Design Specifications
  • Experimental Scenarios
  • Results
  • Key Contributions
  • Applications
All the demonstrators will be provided with a Table and other required accessories for display and demonstration of their models.

Awards:

Average of two assessments above will be considered for the purpose of awards.

Awards will be given in each track for Technical Model as;

  • 1. First Prize - Rs.4100/-
  • 2. Second Prize - Rs.2100/-
Applicable for minimum 20 entries. For less than 20, only one award will be given as applicable
There can be a Technical Paper and Model presented by the same group on the same topic, however for the eligibility for awards, the minimum criteria for scored marks would be 5% more than normal.
